初期ルネサンス様式のフィレンツェ人画家、フレスコ画家、画僧。

（１４２０年１４歳の時に、フィレンツェに在るカーミンのカルメル会修道会の、修道士コミュニティに登録。）

●彼の最も優秀な生徒の中に、「フランチェスコジステーファノ [ペセリーノと呼ばれる]

(Francesco di Stefano) [called Pesellino] 【1422 - 1457】」や、

「サンドロボッティチェリ (Sandro Botticelli) 【1445 - 1510】」等がいる。

息子は画家の「フィリッピーノリッピ (Filippino Lippi) 【1457 - 1504】」。

「レオナルド・ダ・ヴィンチにも影響を与えたと言われています。」
